orcas paley, est. 2019, is a family-owned retailer in downtown seattle known for its eclectic vintage finds, niche perfumes, extraordinary greeting cards, artisan apothecary goods, one-of-a-kind creative objects, and an annual group art show that takes place each october.

our perfume counter is currently home to beloved brands including arquiste, eris, escentric Molecules, etat libre d’Orange, fZOTIC, hilde soliani, naomi goodsir, notes de bas de paje, orto parisi, and tauer.

many of our stationery brands are based in the uK. From cards to wrapping paper to notebooks, we’re a source for beautiful items from artisan stationers such as cambridge imprint, hadley paper goods, petra boase, daria solak, dicky bird, and scribble and daub.

We’re also a proud stockist of mud australia, founded by shelley simpson in 1994. mud’s iconic tablewares are handmade in sydney using porcelain clay from limoges. Its famous color palette comes from tinting each piece at slip stage; clear glaze is applied to interiors only, leaving exteriors as cool and smooth as a perfectly polished stone.

we are so excited to bring an orcas paley concept shop to assembly, july 22-26. this new invitational art fair was organized by a cohort of seattle’s leading galleries to promote meaningful dialogue between artists, curators, and collectors.

orcas paley showcases one-of-a-kind objects by artists and artisans from near and far. we feature 40+ talents in our annual october show - a shop tradition seven years and counting. This stained glass Cat roundel, 2025, by jane littlefield in derbyshire, england, was featured in our “bestiary” show last year.

beauty for its own sake always has a home at orcas paley. so does color. the handprinted wallpaper seen here is “love tantra” in blue, by nama rococo. We love how karen jo combs renders nature imagery in such a vivid and personal way.

our storefront is in the historic moore hotel, just two blocks from the pike place market. the moore is also home to an awesome coffee shop and one of seattle’s leading music and performance venues.

the eccentric maximalism of isa beniston makes her one of our customers’ favorite designers. You’ll find a wide selection of work from gentle thrills at orcas paley, including tarot cards, stickers, hair accessories, stationery, and occasionally, even an original work of art by isa.
